Mortgages, Marriage & Neighbours from hell.

Mortgages: One of the main aims in life, work your backside off, so you have enough for a deposit on your dream home, then take out a massive mortgage for the rest. Which the bank happily gives you. Whats the point in it really?
To prove that your not a 'waste of space'; That you are actually doing something with your life.
Working your arse off to cope with the massive repayments, that you can't really afford.
At least you'll have something at the end of it all... You'll be Mortgage free by the time you retire, you'll have something to leave your kids. Brilliant.

You conform to social stereotypes by signing your life away.

Ofcourse I get the point in when you 'rent' somewhere your in effect paying someone else's mortgage, but what do you really benefit from paying your own. Chance's are you'll never see a penny which your 'mini' Castle accumulates over the years, thats where these " Capital release companies", found there niche, many people are lured in the the concept of getting there hands on some money they think they 'need' When in actual fact, they just get stuck with yet another Mortgage of sorts.

Often in life people confuse 'needs' with 'wants' Right now I want a Galaxy, but do I really need it?
I want a I-pod, just because I do.. but I don't need that either, I have an MP3 Player that works perfectly, It'll just end up lying somewhere, after the 'fascination' has worn off.
